Hallo to all who read this. A brief introduction to me. I've loved the Discworld since I arrived on it nearly twenty years ago. I have compulsively read and re-read the TP's works - indeed, I find it hard to get through a month without reading at least one of them.
I am a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Wolverhampton but yearn to be either an author or an artist - or both. Actually, what I really want to do is have enough money to wander about this great world and see what's out there. I have travelled in South East Asia for two years, South America for six months, and have poddled my way around most of Western Europe, North and East Africa, but there's still so much to see!
I am contributing to this Wiki through a love of what I'm discussing, and through wanting other people to see my sketches of the inhabitants of my favourite, rather flat, world.
I acknowledge a huge debt to Mr Paul Kidby, who is the reason I haven't bothered drawing most of the major characters - Sam Vimes and the rest of the City Watch, the witches or wizards, &c. His are too damn' good and have become - certainly for me - the definitive representations. His trolls are incredible and mine are based on his. My sketches of the minor characters have afforded me the greatest pleasure, and I hope you like them too. Some are cartoons (Ibid, Didactylos &c) and some are a bit more serious (Skarmer Billias, Marietta Cosmopilite &c).
