Roundworlds location

Hailing from the Ultima Thule I am not a native speaker of the Engrish language but this has never hindered me. If perchance anyone would find my Engrish a source of amusement they should look at my German for a real horrorshow (Es ist Unser in die Luft und bald kommt die Löwe und die Bäre).

I can order a beer and earn myself a roundhouse slap in French; In Spanish I'll settle for the beer.

I know the word HALT in Russian which might stop me committing suicide one day.

Sweden, that is

By Ultima Thule I mean Sweden. Born in the Stockholm suburbs, University of Linköping, currently Uppsala. An illicit rumour claims I once visited Skövde but I have no recollection of that at this or any future juncture.

Took cello lessons in middle school. I have never experienced a cat using the box through a sewn-up bum but I understand the phrase.

Railhead

Being interested in "industrial history" is an excuse for spending way too much time with the railroad and steamengines. At the moment I am Guard, Signalman and Fireman (that is Conductor, Dispatcher and Stoker to Merkins). I'm in the progression towards Engineer.

Cats

Several cats have consented to live with me. At one point (long story) I had NINE cats. Wake up, put one foot on the floor and you get an avalanche of kitties heading for breakfast. Now down to three, soon to fall to two as Mom's last lovable furball is on the homestretch.

Discworld prophecy

A great many advancement havsSe been made within and without Ankh-Morpork. A steampowered Battleturtle was employed in Omnian war. Dwarfs think nothing of laying rails to push or winch handcarts. Yet from a good vantagepoint one can see two weeks of oxcarts laden with logs, making lumber most expensive.

I make this prophecy: Sooner or later the << IRON HIPPO >> will be chuffing its sooty smoke over the cabbages of the Sto plains.
