Described as generally appearing as an old, sad family lawyer with an eagle in his ancestry, Duke Vassenego is the Demon's Demon. If he didn't actually invent Original Sin, he at least made one of the first copies. His evil is only matched by his cunning, and he conspires to rid Hell of Astfgl during the events of Eric.
